It is winter time in the northern hemisphere, temperatures are going down, but the merger and acquisition activity is setting up the IT industry for a hot summer!

Reasons for these acquisitions range from strengthening of the portfolio to boosting the innovation pace of the acquirer companies. And in most cases, there is an open source software company involved.

In many ways, it is a great acknowledgement of how the open source software is helping drive innovation, faster development and make an impact on the enterprise IT business.

This makes me very proud to be a part of the open source solutions and integration world. For the past 9 years, our team has been bringing key open source technologies and helping integrate them in customer’s IT landscape through design and architecting skills.

Apart from this aspect, I am also very excited about the fact that our team is bringing the 60th issue of ‘Ashnik Times’ - our monthly newsletter to you. The sheer consistency and hard work of the team behind this newsletter is commendable. I hope you would also have enjoyed reading technology insights and industry news.
