"Data beats emotions" - Sean Rad founder of Tinder.
Despite the fact that every business likes to take decisions based on data;
emotions, sentiments; Gut feel has a big role to play.
It was not because data was not available, but mostly because not ALL the data was processed.
Outcomes or inferences were based on sample data and hence could be doubted. Statistical methods
were deployed to make sense to the sample data, which were a matter of debate and led to different opinions.

Recently, the phrase "Internet of Things" (IoT) has been a buzz in the media, but what does it really mean and how will it
change our world? To put it simply, it refers to the state where nowadays there are more and more devices connected to the
internet and participating together on a system.
This ranges from the latest smartphone to everyday objects, say even home thermometers.
Imagine an "ideal" drive to office enabled by IoT: Your car will start itself 5 minutes before you reach for it. It knows the time by checking your
calendar for the first appointment of the day and backtracking based on road condition.

Years ago, while doing my university course for DBMS, I used to have a whole book talking about Relational Theory & RDBMS.
I was lucky that the alternative models were also discussed in a couple of lectures
- where my professor took keen interest to discuss hierarchical models, network/graph based models
and columnar models.
And now, when I started learning MongoDB I realized that there are a few things I will have to unlearn.
