Couchbase announces support for Docker Containers

Couchbase announced that the production certified support for Docker, the open source containers platform, will ship with the upcoming new Couchbase Server release. Docker enables developers to package an application with all of its dependencies into a standardized unit for software development. Docker containers guarantee that an application will always run the same, regardless of the environment it is running in.

Elasticsearch now available as a Managed Cloud Service

Elastic announced the availability of two new hosted and fully managed Elasticsearch cloud offerings after successfully integrating its Found acquisition into all of the company’s products. Elastic’s Found Standard and Found Premium services eliminate the need for customers to install, configure, maintain and back up their Elasticsearch clusters in the cloud by automating and managing these critical processes for Elastic customers.
