On 2nd September 2019, Ashnik turned a decade old. To mark the 10-year journey of success, team Ashnik took off to Bintan, Indonesia to celebrate and plan on their upcoming vision and journey. As a big-small family, Ashnik’s teammates from US, Singapore and India gathered together to celebrate and pat each other’s backs on this momentous occasion.

Every successful organisation has a strong pillar it is built on. This brick by brick foundation was started by Founder, Director Sachin Dabir who gets with him over 25 years of experience in the technology industry. His passion for building solutions to address business critical challenges and love for open source gave him a strong enough reason to quit his job at Red Hat and start his own venture. As they say ‘Timing, perseverance, and ten years of trying will eventually make you look like an overnight success’. Sachin hands his team full points for being the victory bearers of this venture and vision.

The event was themed Reimagine. Accelerate. Transform. The celebrations were graced by industry experts like….Sanjay Dabir, Harish Pillay and Dr Pandhare.

Mr Sanjay Dabir- A versatile professional with a successful track record of over three decades of seniority making indelible strides in establishing profitable and vibrant business propositions in India and overseas. An Exceptional Transformational expertise in Lean Manufacturing and operational excellence. Decisive and dynamic change agent engaging multicultural teams across the globe.

Mr Harish Pillay– The Global Head, Community Architecture and Leadership with Red Hat Inc. An avid open source activist and commentator, he co-founded the Linux Users’ Group Singapore (LUGS) in 1993 and has been in the computer industry since 1982 having built his first computer, a 6502-based machine in 1980.

Dr. Anant Padhare – A social transformist in the field of medicine along with his team of specialist doctors who are injecting values along with medical care. Under his vision, they came together to give back to the society, by helping the needy and underprivileged. He founded the Dr. Hedgewar hospital to provide medical services at an affordable cost to the common man. With the astounding response from both rural & urban poor, their beliefs and efforts were strengthened.
He joined us to share his community experience and learnings, which acted as a tremendous stimulus for the team.

The collective insights and experiences shared by the facilitators gave team Ashnik a diverse perspective on community contribution, how teams work efficiently together and how the philosophy of open source can merge and align to help us achieve the next milestones as a team.

Glimpse of the days ahead!

Day 1: Starts with a bang and bag full of energies. Sanjay Dabir organised a series of team bonding activities on the beach side so the teams could bond and soak in some fun.
